Today is the D-day! Today is the start of my goal to lose 100 pounds in 180 days. There are so many things on my list to get me started. And, the first on the list is letting go of soft-drinks.
I grew up consuming soft drinks as if it is water with every meal. I usually consume about 1.5 litres of soft drinks per day. I always justify the consumption because I am drinking a "diet-soda" with zero calories. And, I read somewhere that "diet-soda" can be included in one’s diet. But, friends, relatives, family and most especially my sister who is a triathlete always advise me that if I want to really lose weight then I have to give up soft drinks. It is indeed pretty hard to do so. But today, I was able to come clean and survive the day without soft drinks. Cheers!
So what do I feel? Nothing, I did not crave for any soft drinks yet. It is too early to tell if I can finally let go of soft drinks. Perhaps, today was just busy day for me. Thank you to my dear husband for cheering and congratulating me on my first day without soft drinks.

I share your pain. Bawal din sa akin since I'm pregs but I still sneak in half a glass once in awhile. Surprisingly, coffee I was able to give up easily but Coke Zero is harder to. Hang in there!
Thanks Donna, Day 1 is easy. Mike says I should do it gradually. But I try to totally give it up, and hope I could finally do it.
Good job! Take out coffee too if you can so no more Starbucks! I replaced my soft drinks with Fit 'N Right, most of the time I drink water but if I'm craving for some flavor in my drink or sweetness that's what I drink. It has 20 calories and a bit of sugar but I think it's still healthier than coke zero... It also has L-Carnitine.
chari, so i can drink fit 'n right? :)
